The Ladder M8 is a simple safety device that sits under the feet of your ladder, preventing it from slipping.

Made from durable moulded Polypropylene, the safety device consists of a two stainless steel plates secured by galvanised topping screws. The fine metal grips situated on both sides of the Ladder M8rix™ hold the ladder feet in place, whilst preventing any slippage on the ground surface. Whilst we would not recommend unwise ladder use, the Ladder M8rix™ provides such a high degree of security that it can even be used on such surfaces as:

The HSE operation circular OC 233/3 of March 19th 1997 confirms that the ANKALAD ladder stabiliser is an acceptable as an alternative to footing a ladder

The DTI report URN 99/707 "Assessment of leaning ladder safety devices" which was produced following an assessment of over 80 different devices states that "overall, most of the stabilisers were considered to be of limited benefit. However Code DB(ANKALAD) proved to be clearly the most effective stabiliser, as the structure created by fitting the device was close to self supporting.

ANKALAD STABILISER

An Ankalad Stabiliser secures a ladder in much the same way as stabilisers secure a child's first bike.

Correctly positioned it's impossible for the ladder to slide down the wall or side over sideways due to over-reaching - which is the real killer and cause of 9 out of 10 accidents.

Ankalad weighs just 3.6kg (8lbs) and is built to a quality using the finest materials, namely annodised aluminium, zinc plated steel, brass, stainless steel and nylon mouldings.

The Ankalad exceeded the HSE stabiliser test by 300%.

There are many stand-offs around but a couple of features make our stand-off special

• Wheels (120mm diameter) assist in running up the wall and stop slide ways slip
• A central V-notch enables the ladder to be used on corners

The stand-off is contracted of lightweight aluminium with zinc plated fixing and springs making it light and easy to use.

As with all our equipment the stand-off can be used in conjunction with our other products to provide a secure and safe working environment.

Working for long periods on a ladder leads to aching painful feet and in many cases can cause permanent foot arch damage.

The Step fits ladders with a tread rise of between 250mm and 300mm in increments of 12mm. It's constructed of zinc plated mild steel and features a checker plate pattern to stand on.

With body weight correctly positioned on the Step less strain is placed on the legs and lower back, retaining balance. This in turn reduces fatigue and stress, allowing the use of both hands to operate equipment safely.
